I am a medical doctor by profession, working in the field of Anesthesia & Critical Care for more than three decades now. I am presently associated with one of the largest super speciality hospitals in New Delhi, India.
My specialization in the field of Anesthesia encompasses General Anesthesia, Cardiac Anesthesia and also transplant surgeries. I am one of the designated Liver Transplant anesthetists of my hospital and specialise in Paediatric liver transplants.
Along with my clinical responsibilities, I have also performed in the role of an academic co-ordinator for my department. I also teach post graduate and post-doctoral students for appearing in the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Fellow of National Board (FNB) examinations. I have participated in many seminars, lectures as a distinguished delegate and also as external examiner for many post doctoral programs.
The professional demands from this field of medicine is not for the faint hearted. But then there’s so much more that one can do.
I am a devoted endurance trainer and have participated in more than 50 organized marathon runs all over India. Some of the challenging ones have been the Ladakh Marathon and the “Hell Race” at the Longewala border of India & Pakistan, at Jaisalmer.
I also love trekking and whenever an opportunity presents itself, I seize it to venture out on one of trails in the mountains.
Apart from the fairly gruelling fitness regime that I subscribe to, I also like to enhance my creative abilities in my expressions through art. My artistic endeavours have been using various media – Oil on canvas, charcoal, pencil sketches as well as water colors.
I hope you can take the time to peruse through my work outlined in these pages. It would immensely inspire me to hear from you.
