Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. It’s what Sunflowers do.
Helen Keller.
The Sunflower is truly an amazing creation of nature. Its because of its ‘follow the sun’ characteristic (Heliotropism) that the Sunflower has many symbolisms in life. The flower signifies loyalty, discipline, unconditional love, unwavering faith, strong bonds, happiness, so on and so forth. A farm full of Sunflowers is truly a beauty to behold and whatever be the circumstances that you may be in, watching them is guaranteed to uplift your mood. They are bright and vibrant in color and have varying heights.
It is said that Van Gogh was so fascinated by Sunflowers that he wanted to paint twelve of them for his home. However, he could only paint five of them.
The painting depicts a sea of Sunflowers in a farm swaying cheerfully in the wind and passersby that care to stop by and watch are enthralled with the sheer beauty that seems to reach infinite proportions.
